I just joined this fabulous group of women photographers that calls themselves SoFly. You may remember an older post of a model shoot we did in downtown West Palm. This month they are having a photo a day contest. Everyone has to post a photo each day on their blog and at the end of the month whomever has the most comments wins some awesome prizes. Now I'm probably already disqualified because I didn't have a chance to post my picture yesterday, but I did take one. Here is a shot of my 2 kitties, Callie and Sadie taking a little nap together. Aren't they cute!

I volunteer at a wonderful place called Pet Rescue. They find homes for dogs and cats and also provide a home for animals that might be "unadoptable". I try to get down there once a week to help clean, play with the cats, and take pictures of any new animals so they can get their furry little faces online and find a home. You can see some of the available animals on their Facebook site. They are also creating an urban park area behind the shelter. It's called Gardnar's Grove and you can check out the progress on their Facebook site. It will be really cool once it's completed. It's going to have a dog trail complete with a play area and pool, turtle ponds, and a lot of native plants and animals. Here is a shot of a really neat, sunlight sensitive flower that just bloomed, of course I forget what it's called.
